Have u ever wondered why so many woman have regular mood swings and changes in their behaviour every time…?? all that causes such changes is due to PCOD. Majority of every 1 in 10 woman face this Hormonal imbalance. Its a hormonal disorder which causes enlarged ovaries with small cysts on the outer edges. It may be due to genetic or environmental factors too.


Woman with PCOS produce higher amount of male hormones than normal, which causes their body to skip menstrual periods… So as if periods are not regular than their would be definitely low chance of getting pregnant. Nowadays natural pregnancy has become rare. PCOS can cause hair growth on full face and body and baldness. It can too cause long term health problems such as diabetes and heart diseases. Many woman face acne, fatigue, infertility, hair fall, weight changes and very tough to loose those extra pounds, ovarian cysts are such symptoms of PCOS. If a female has high level of androgens, high level of insulin, and if he/she is obese that too can cause PCOS.


PCOS can be diagnosed via physical examination, ultrasound, blood test. No permanent solution has been discovered. It can be treated through medications under supervision, birth control pills, surgery.


FRUITS: cherries, oranges, apples, peaches, kiwi, coconut, strawberries. VEGETABLES: broccoli, green beans, sweet potato, spinach, peppers, cauliflower.

NUTS: almonds, peanuts, flaxseed, sunflower seeds, almond oil, olive oil, whole grains too can be added to diet.

Healthy individual needs a weight check so first and foremost if he or she is obese has to control their weight. Most importantly portion of the meal decides how easily one can loose weight with PCOS.

✦ portion your plate.
